About the Dutch Oven Chef

My first experience with dutch oven cooking was as a young boy scout at Camp Mack-Kin-O-Siew near Elcho, Wisconsin (about five hours north of Chicago, IL). I’ve been cooking outdoors with Dutch Ovens ever since. You’ll find me outside most weekends — backpacking, camping or hiking with our Cub Scout Pack (Pack #591) or with friends and family. When I have time, I author recipes for my blog — The Dutch Oven Chef. You can see our free recipes here. I post instructional videos to my YouTube channel – Dutch Oven Chef.
